Arepas with Cheese, Scrambled Egg & Avocado

How to make Colombian Arepas with Cheese, Scramble Egg & Avocado with Paola to perfection!

    In a bowl, add one cup of Harina PAN and 1 & 1/2 cups of water together. Introduce 100g halloumi & 200g mozzarella cheese.

    Mix it all together and knead the dough for 3 to 5 minutes.

    Once mixed, start to roll it into a ball. Take a plastic bag, put the ball inside of the bag and crush it flat (a cutting board woks really well). The arepa is now ready to fry.

    Put oil in a pan. Wait until the oil is hot and add the arepa. When the arepa looks golden, turn over the arepa. When both sides are ready to take out. Turn off the heat! Serve the arepa with scrambled eggs and chopped avocado.

    Bring to the Kitchen Table

    Mixing the Harina Pan & Water

    In a bowl, add one cup of Harina PAN and 1 & 1/2 cups of water together.

    Introduce more ingredients and knead the dough

    Introduce the halloumi & mozzarella cheese. Mix it all together and knead the dough for 3 to 5 minutes.

    Once mixed, start to roll it into a ball. Take a plastic bag, put the ball inside of the bag and crush it flat (a cutting board woks really well). The arepa is now ready to fry.

    Put olive oil in a pan. Wait until the oil is hot and add the arepa. When the arepa looks golden, turn over the arepa.

    When both sides of the arepa are ready to take out. Turn off the heat and serve the arepa!
