This basic white rice recipe is all about washing, prepping and serving Colombian White Rice so you can really enjoy it!

This Colombian white rice is very tasty, and easy to make, just follow the instruction and it should be perfect.

  1. Turn the cooker heat to medium or 3/4 full.
  2. Add 2 table spoons of olive oil with crush garlic or simply cut the chopped the garlic, fry the garlic for 20 to 30 seconds until the garlic is golden.
  3. Add 2 full cups of water and salt to your taste.
  4. When it comes to boil add the 1 cup of rice, leave the rice to simmer in the pan. Once the rice simmers, put the lid on and the most important turn the heat low to the lowest and leave the rice to finish to cook for about 12 to 15 minutes depends how much to do, the more rice to make the longer that you need to leave it to cook.
  5. At the end make sure to stir the rice with the fork and serve it.
  6. If you need to give the rice more time, leave for a few more minutes.
